Senior SAP Revenue Recognition Specialist
Role Overview We are seeking an expert SAP Consultant to lead the Revenue Accounting (RAR) and Gross-to-Net (GtN) workstream for a global S/4HANA Greenfield implementation within the Life Sciences sector. This role is critical in ensuring that complex commercial models (chargebacks, rebates, and tiered pricing) are translated into compliant, automated accounting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture: Design and implement the end-to-end Revenue Accounting (RAR) landscape, ensuring full alignment with IFRS 15 / ASC 606 standards.
GtN Strategy: Lead the design of complex Gross-to-Net processes, including the integration of wholesaler models, patient access programs, and government pricing.
S/4HANA Greenfield Implementation: Drive the transition from legacy systems to a standardized S/4HANA template, focusing on the seamless flow of data from SD and External Pricing systems into FI/CO.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between Commercial Operations, Legal, and Corporate Finance to harmonize revenue reporting across global markets.
Compliance & Audit: Build auditable, automated logic for accruals and revenue posting to minimize manual intervention and regulatory risk.
Qualifications & Requirements
Technical Expertise: Deep experience in SAP RAR and SAP SD (specifically Pricing & Billing).
Industry Knowledge: Proven track record in Life Sciences / Pharma, with a strong understanding of chargebacks, rebates, and market-specific GtN complexities.
Project Experience: Significant experience in large-scale Global Greenfield implementations.
Language: Native or professional-level fluency in English (project language).
Location: Willingness to be on-site in Frankfurt, Germany (3 days/week) for the initial project phase.
